Fun is Easy To Come By at the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce
Looking back on this past year, it’s not so very easy to say that all of us who live in, work in, or just love Oceanside, CA have had an easy year. Here we are in Oceanside, California, the West Coast of our diverse country, with so many problems and issues so very far away in Washington; problems we can’t see, can’t battle hand to hand, but problems that are surely there, and that surely affect our lives.
So this year, as in years past, the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce invited their members and guests to enjoy a few hours of laughter, camaraderie, and reflection to celebrate the ending of this year…and the renewal of the next.
Membership Really DOES Have Its Privileges
The Oceanside community is lucky to enjoy the support of a group of both small (i.e. one-man/woman shops) and large (i.e. trend setters such as Tri-City Hospital and Genentech) companies, all of whom come together to test the old adage that many hands make light work. Picking up a shovel, moving sand, leading by doing, thinking, sharing, growing, helping, healing and succeeding are all parts of the wheel that make up business and the communities they serve. So at the Oceanside Chamber you’re just as apt to see CEO David Nydegger moving boxes as you are to see him giving a keynote speech to a local organization or the Oceanside City Council.
If you’re a member of the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, I want you to stand up right now and give yourself the biggest round of applause you dare. The smile on my face in the picture above probably came from hearing about or sharing how you helped make what we do such a success this year.
Oceanside, New York – They Needed So Much – We Reached Out
Just a continuing note on our efforts at the Oceanside Chamber to help out our neighbors on the East Coast. A simple phone call, assistance by our members, Tri-City Hospital, the Surf Museum, El Camino Country Club and many, many, many more individuals and businesses allowed us to send needed help to get these folks back on their feet.
