COUNTY’S LARGEST STREET FAIRE – News from the North County Times

Located in the heart of Carlsbad, Carlsbad Village Faire features over 850 unique vendors, making it the largest street festival of its kind in the county. The art fair offers a little of everything, including arts and crafts, antiques, unique clothing, items from around the world, and more.

In fact, many vendors who attend this festivity, especially those from out of town, don’t make it to the smaller ones in the county.

Also at the faire are children’s rides, an international food center, and an old-fashioned pancake breakfast guarantee that you’ll find fun for the whole family.

CARLSBAD STREET FAIRE ROUTE

Carlsbad Village Drive is Main Faire Road

The street festival extends along Carlsbad Village Drive from I-5 to Carlsbad Blvd, overflowing onto tributary side streets. Vendor booths line both sides of the thoroughfare, with crowds streaming downt the street’s center and sides.

Special North County Times Faire Edition

To help you make the most of your visit, the North County Times will publish a special section on the day of the Carlsbad Village Faire, featuring coverage of the exhibitors and a map of the festivities.

Carlsbad Village Shops, Dining, Beach

Carlsbad Village specialty shops, restaurants, cafes, and bar and grills line the faire route and worth exploring as well.

At the west end of the street faire is Carlsbad Blvd, the city’s coastal road, and just steps from the beach and palisades.

CARLSBAD VILLAGE PARKING AND SHUTTLES

Parking for the popular festival is limited, so visitors are encouraged to use the complimentary shuttles that run to and from the faire every 15 minutes. The shuttle pick-up locations are at the northwest corner of Sears at Westfield Shoppingtown Plaza Camino Real (Highway 78 and Jefferson) as well as at the Poinsettia Coaster Station (Poinsettia exit off of
I-5).

Parking is available on streets next to and several blocks from the street faire. First come, first serve. The walk is not unreasonable, considering the number of attendees.
