Fire Mountain Oceanside CA

History of Fire Mountain

Fire Mountain takes its name from Indian lore.  It seems that many years ago Indians occupied this area, and if you look at the map, you’ll see Eternal Hill Cemetery.  There is a rock formation and hill located there, where it is believed that fires lit by the Indians could be seen for many miles, and thus the name Fire Mountain came to be.

The market continues to be quite weak for the time being.  While prices have stabilized, the number of homes for sale in Valley Center have increased.

You can click on the image above to see more clearly, but you will note that prices have steadily been softening  or decreasing over the last couple of months.  This housing trend may begin to fluctuate as the summer buying season rolls in, so check back next week to find out if the price of homes in Valley Center will continue to decline, or begin to move upward.

This week we see that while home prices continue an upward climb, the number of homes for sale, and the time those homes are on the market before they are sold, continue to climb.  There are now 622 homes for sale, and the time on market has risen to 93 days. Remember that different areas of Oceanside are selling at different rates. Here, for example, are homes for sale in the Fire Mountain area of Oceanside.

Are Oceanside Home Prices Falling or Rising?

Interestingly enough you probably don’t even have to click on the chart above to see that home prices in Oceanside are generally increasing! Perhaps, as I have mentioned previously, the homes that are currently listed are no longer representative of simply distressed or bank owned homes, but reflect that homeowners in Oceanside who have equity in their homes may now be deciding that it is a good time to sell a home.

Why not take a look at the homes for sale in Oceanside? When you take some time to look, you’ll see that there are many different kinds of properties for sale in Oceanside, at many different prices, with lots of different features. Select the ones you want to see and give us a call.

Right now it looks as if the number of homes on the market in the Vista CA area have remained steady, but the number of days it is taking to sell those homes has increased.  That looks to me to be an indication of a rather weak market, especially at a time of year when other markets in North County San Diego are improving.

How Many Days Will It Take To Sell My Vista CA Home?

Vista homes in the higher price ranges are staying on the market for about 120 days, a fairly typical time for an upper range home in this area.  What’s interesting is that homes that are in the 2nd quartile (let’s say homes priced in the $500,000 to $600,000 range, are actually selling quite rapidly, in an average of 60 days.  I rather like this, as it means that if you have a nice home, price it correctly, and list it now, your home will sell quickly.
